In a shocking incident, a youth was hacked to death by four attackers in Balasore district of Odisha last night. The attack occurred near the Junabalada Chhaka on National Highway number 16 under the jurisdiction of Basta Police.

The victim has been identified as Sanjit Mallick from Junabalada village.

Reports indicate that the four assailants attacked Sanjit with sharp weapons, repeatedly striking him with a Bhujali, resulting in critical injuries.

He was subsequently rushed to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries there.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the scene and began an investigation. Two of the four attackers have been arrested, while efforts are ongoing to locate the remaining suspects.

The attack is believed to be motivated by past enmity, and further investigations are currently underway.
