Jeypore: In connection with the alleged gang rape of an aspiring model, law enforcement has taken two suspects into custody in a pine forest situated along the Jeypore-Koraput highway in Odisha.

Koraput Superintendent of Police Rohit Verma stated that the incident took place on August 6 in the afternoon. The young woman, accompanied by a male friend, went to the pine forest for a photoshoot. In her report filed at the Koraput Sadar police station, she claimed that three masked men confronted them, threatened them with a knife, and demanded Rs 8,300 in cash and through digital means before sexually assaulting her.

Following her complaint, the police launched an investigation and successfully arrested two of the suspects. Efforts are ongoing to locate and apprehend the third individual, who remains unaccounted for.
