Kantamal: On Saturday, the government of Odisha took the decision to suspend Sami Reddy Jayshree, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Kantamal, with immediate effect. A departmental disciplinary inquiry has been ordered in connection with her conduct.

The Revenue and Disaster Management Department has mandated that she report to the office of the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) in Sambalpur for the duration of her suspension. Additionally, she is prohibited from leaving her official headquarters without obtaining prior authorization from the appropriate authority.
