A rare snake was rescued from a toilet in Chandrapur village, located in the Kotalingi area of Chikiti block in Odisha’s Ganjam district.

The snake, measuring around six feet in length, was discovered inside a resident’s toilet, causing panic among the family members. In response to the alarming situation, villagers promptly alerted Ramachandra Sahu, a member of the Chikiti Snake Helpline.

Upon receiving the call, Sahu arrived at the scene and carefully extracted the snake from the toilet. Following its rescue, the snake was subsequently released back into its natural habitat in the forest.

During the monsoon, it is common for various snake species to enter homes searching for food and shelter. Instead of resorting to drastic measures out of fear, it is recommended to reach out to a snake helpline or a trained rescuer to ensure the safety of both people and wildlife.
