Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended his greetings to the people of Odisha in celebration of the sacred occasion of ‘Maha Bishuba Pana Sankranti’. He emphasized that this special day embodies the values of devotion, harmony, and seasonal renewal, reflecting the rich traditions of Odisha.
“I pray for a year that is filled with unlimited opportunities and successes. May this auspicious day bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to all. May this festival also deepen the spirit of togetherness and strengthen the bonds that bind our society,” he stated.
Additionally, PM Modi offered his greetings for Baisakhi and Puthandu, expressing hopes that these occasions enhance the spirit of unity within society and bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to everyone.
In separate messages delivered in English, Gurmukhi, and Tamil, he expressed his desire for the festivals to infuse happiness, prosperity, and fresh energy into people’s lives.
Regarding Baisakhi, the Prime Minister noted that this vibrant festival symbolizes gratitude, renewal, and hope, celebrating the hard work of farmers who sustain the nation. He also highlighted the deep spiritual significance of Baisakhi, marking the establishment of the Khalsa Panth by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, whose teachings continue to inspire collective efforts towards building a better society.
“May this festival bring happiness, prosperity, and fresh energy in everyone’s lives,” he remarked.
While sending warm wishes for Puthandu to the people of Tamil Nadu, the Prime Minister expressed his prayers for a year filled with happiness, success, and good health. He described this special day as a celebration of renewal, hope, and new beginnings, honoring the greatness of Tamil culture, which inspires people worldwide through its rich heritage of literature, music, art, philosophy, and devotion.
