Polsara: A young man fishing at a dam reservoir in Odisha experienced a close brush with death after falling into the water. This incident occurred on Friday in the Ganjam district at the Baghua Reservoir, where three dam gates had been opened.

Reports indicate that the fisherman, hailing from Bhagabanpur village, was attempting to catch fish when high-speed water was being released. Suddenly, he lost his footing and plunged into the powerful current.

He was carried away by the swift water for a distance but managed to grab onto a tree, which allowed him to stay above the surface. Upon receiving the distress call, the Fire Service team promptly arrived at the scene.

After extensive efforts, the rescue team successfully brought the young man to safety.

The footage of him being swept along by the current while clinging to the tree has since gone viral on social media.
