Authorities at Rengali Dam in Odisha have opened a sluice gate for the second time this year to manage rising water levels after heavy rains in the region.
Odisha is expecting ongoing heavy rainfall as a new low-pressure system is forecast to form over the northwest Bay of Bengal around August 13, according to the India Meteorological Department.
