Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits as part of the Rozgar Mela initiative. He congratulated the youth, stating they are stepping into their roles at a pivotal moment and will act as responsible partners in the nation’s growth narrative.
“Today, more than 51,000 youth have received appointment letters for government jobs. Today, all of you are becoming important partners, responsible partners, in the country’s development journey,” PM Modi remarked while addressing the new appointees.
The Prime Minister highlighted that these new positions span several vital sectors, which will be essential in propelling the country forward. He stated, “You are all going to assume new responsibilities in railways, banking, defence, health, education, and many other sectors. You will all play a crucial role in fulfilling the resolve for a developed India in the coming years.”
The Rozgar Mela initiative aligns with the government’s ongoing commitment to employment generation and youth empowerment, integrating new talent into various central ministries, departments, and state administrations to enhance public service delivery.
The Rozgar Melas primarily target youth aged 18 to 35, accommodating a range of academic qualifications, including those who have completed 8th, 10th, and 12th grades, as well as ITI, Diploma, and Graduate degrees. This also includes trained and certified candidates who meet the National Skills Qualifications Framework standards.
Job seekers are mobilized and informed about the Rozgar Mela through various channels, such as print advertisements, bulk SMS, social media, and workshops at colleges and universities in the surrounding areas.
