Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district is preparing to host President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Posters and hoardings have been put up across various locations, and security arrangements for the events honoring the dignitaries are nearing completion.
According to reports, President Murmu, who is on a two-day visit to Odisha, is scheduled to arrive at the Dandabos Airstrip in Mayurbhanj at 3:45 PM.
That evening, she will inaugurate the AIIMS Satellite Centre in Rairangpur.
On Friday morning, President Murmu plans to visit Pahadpur, her in-laws’ ancestral village, after which Prime Minister Modi will also arrive in the village on June 20.
Local residents are thrilled about the joint visit of the nation’s two highest leaders, with the administration ensuring that every detail is attended to for a successful high-profile event.
Rairangpur town will be secured with a three-tier security system.
