One person was killed and three others sustained critical injuries in a spade attack during an attempt to resolve a previously existing conflict in Kandhamal district, Odisha. The incident occurred in Dalapada village under the Sudrukumpa Panchayat within the Phulbani Sadar police jurisdiction.

According to reports, the group gathered to address an old dispute when violence erupted, leading to an exchange of attacks with spades.

As a result, two women and one man from the same family were injured and have been admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.

Upon receiving the information, police from the Phulbani Sadar Police Station arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation into the incident.
