HYDERABAD: Rangareddy excise officials seized 150 grams of ganja and 52 bottles of non-duty paid liquor during raids conducted in the Manikonda area, resulting in the arrest of two individuals allegedly involved in the illegal sale of these contraband items.
According to the officials, enforcement CI Subash Chander, along with SI Akhil and their team, carried out searches after receiving information that individuals from East Godavari district were allegedly selling ganja and liquor bottles in Rangareddy. The contraband was seized from the accused, Satyanarayana, and another suspect, Venkatesh.
Police reported that the seized non-duty paid liquor was sourced from brands originating in Goa, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Odisha. The accused were subsequently handed over to the Gandipet excise police station.
