D. Purandeswari Commends Street Theatre for Promoting Viksit Bharat Initiative in Odisha

Service embodies our commitment while development is our objective. This was the essence of the message delivered by D. Purandeswari, the State In-charge and National Vice-President of BJP, during her recent two-day tour of Odisha, which included street theatre, organizational assessments, and a temple visit before she returned to Delhi.

On October 4, Purandeswari, accompanied by co-in-charge Dr. Swadesh Singh, attended the “Namo Seva Gatha – Pathprant Natak” performance in Jamukoli, located near Jatani in the Khordha district. This roadside play is part of the nationwide Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, which was launched on September 17 to commemorate 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to public service. Purandeswari praised this format as an impactful means to communicate welfare schemes and development initiatives directly to the populace. She stated that under Modi’s leadership, India is rapidly progressing towards Viksit Bharat, driven by the principles of service as a commitment and development as the aim.

The event also attracted several dignitaries, including state general secretary (organisation) Manas Kumar Mohanty, minister Suryabanshi Suraj, state general secretary Purnima Nayak, state morcha coordinator Sudipta Ray, and Khordha district president Bishwaranjan Badajena.

Previously, Purandeswari and Singh conducted meetings at the state office with office-bearers, district presidents, and morcha coordinators. They later convened with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and his cabinet to evaluate the collaboration between the government and the party. Discussions included future programs, the functionality of various fronts, and strategies to enhance party presence at the booth level. The leaders emphasized the importance of greater public engagement and improved cooperation among party workers, guided by Prime Minister Modi and national president Nitin Nabin. State president Manmohan Samal and Manas Kumar Mohanty also participated in these discussions.

Before departing for Delhi, Purandeswari and Singh visited the Lingaraj temple to offer prayers and seek blessings.

This visit highlighted the party’s commitment to combining grassroots outreach, exemplified through performances that reflect the Seva Sankalp theme, with internal strengthening efforts ahead of future organizational initiatives in the state.
