An Air India flight traveling from Phuket to Delhi encountered severe turbulence, leading to injuries for 17 individuals on board. Flight AI2379, an Airbus A320, was carrying 137 passengers along with eight crew members when it faced turbulent conditions while flying over Odisha airspace. Reports indicate that the aircraft dropped nearly 300 feet in mere seconds before the pilots managed to regain control. Among those injured were 13 passengers and 4 crew members. Fortunately, the flight landed safely at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi around 11 am. Air India acknowledged the incident, describing it as a brief episode of turbulence that resulted in a sudden altitude change during the flight.
