During his one-day visit, Patnaik will travel to Sheragada, Hinjilicut, Aska, and Sorada to assess the situation and engage with affected families and farmers. He aims to listen to their concerns and review the damage to homes, agricultural lands, and infrastructure.

The floods, triggered by Cyclone Arnab and heavy rainfall, have inundated numerous villages in Ganjam district, leading to significant damage to houses, roads, and farmland, while farmers have experienced substantial crop losses. Efforts for restoration and rehabilitation are currently in progress in the impacted areas.

He is anticipated to arrive in Sheragada town by 11:10 am, where he will visit areas hit by floods and engage with local residents and government officials to gather insights on the damage and relief efforts.

At 12:15 pm, he will head to Nuaburupada Gram Panchayat in Hinjilicut to assess agricultural fields affected by the floods and communicate directly with farmers facing crop losses.

Patnaik is scheduled to reach Aska at 1:30 pm, where he will tour flood-affected areas, listen to residents’ concerns, and discuss the distribution of relief materials and the progress of restoration with local administrative officials.

Later, at 2:40 pm, he will visit Baligochha in Sorada to evaluate crop damage and inspect the affected farmland, interacting with local residents and officials to understand the challenges confronting the flood-affected communities.

After his tour of the affected regions, Patnaik is expected to return to Bhubaneswar, arriving at Biju Patnaik International Airport by 4:10 pm.

As recovery efforts continue in Ganjam, the visit is anticipated to address the concerns of affected families, the agricultural losses experienced by farmers, and the effectiveness of the ongoing relief and rehabilitation measures.
