Agar Malwa (MP): In the early hours of Saturday, a tragic incident occurred in Madhya Pradesh’s Agar Malwa district where eight individuals, including three children and two women, lost their lives when their vehicle fell into a swollen drain, according to police reports.

The accident took place near the Bagulamukhi temple in the town of Nalkheda, situated approximately 30 kilometers from the district headquarters, as stated by Shashi Upadhyay, the officer in charge of the Nalkheda police station.

Upadhyay explained that the car carrying the group of devotees from Odisha plunged into the drain, which was overflowing due to heavy rain. The deceased comprised three children, two women, and three men.

Following the incident, the Nalkheda police initiated a rescue operation, recovering the bodies and sending them for post-mortem examinations. An official noted that a case has been filed, and further information is still pending.
