Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met with Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, the UAE’s Minister of Economy and Tourism, in Dubai as part of his efforts to entice investors to launch industrial ventures in Odisha.

Currently on a five-day trip to the United Arab Emirates, Majhi engaged in investor outreach activities and roadshows on the third day of his visit, as reported by officials.

The conversations primarily revolved around enhancing economic relationships between Odisha and the UAE, with a strong focus on identifying new investment prospects within the state.

During these discussions, the Chief Minister underscored Odisha’s favorable business climate, robust industrial framework, and significant investment potential in various key sectors, inviting investors from the UAE to explore these opportunities.

Additionally, Majhi is set to participate in a roundtable discussion aimed at promoting Odisha’s aluminium sector and its investment prospects. A meeting with the Indian Business & Professional Council (IBPC) is also planned, according to the release.

On the previous day, the Odisha government secured a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for 14 new projects, which involve an estimated investment of approximately Rs 2.10 lakh crore during the initial phase of its investor outreach in the UAE.
