New Delhi [India], September 4 (ANI): On Friday, the Governor of Odisha, Hari Babu Kambhampati, expressed that the Northeast region has gained renewed attention, increased momentum, and a defined vision for its future due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He underscored the advancements in connectivity and infrastructure taking place in this area.

Speaking at the 9th North East Students’ Festival in Delhi, Kambhampati remarked, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, this commitment to the Northeast has received renewed focus, greater momentum and a clear vision for the future.”

The Governor noted that the region is experiencing significant transformations in terms of connectivity and infrastructure.

“With roads, bridges, tunnels, railways, airports, and waterways uniting remote communities with the national mainstream, new opportunities are emerging,” he stated.

He added, “These initiatives go beyond mere infrastructure development; they aim to foster confidence, create opportunities, and ensure the Northeast becomes a vital and dynamic contributor to India’s path towards becoming a developed and prosperous nation.”

On Thursday, Kambhampati also met with Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan in New Delhi during his visit to the capital.

During their meeting, the two leaders discussed various topics related to Odisha’s development, governance, and socio-economic welfare, as well as shared insights on the state’s developmental priorities and current welfare projects. They also talked about enhancing infrastructure growth.

The discussion included how to effectively implement several welfare schemes from the Central government in Odisha, ensuring that the benefits reach the state’s residents.

Kambhampati shared on X, “During my visit to New Delhi, I had the honour of calling on the Hon’ble Vice-President of India, Shri CP Radhakrishnan Ji. We had a warm and cordial interaction.”

He arrived in New Delhi on Thursday and is set to participate in various events and programs during his stay, along with meetings with senior officials.
