On Saturday, a significant meeting was held at the Police Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, to evaluate the law and order situation in the state and discuss strategies for crime reduction.

The gathering included the Director General of Police (DGP), several Inspectors General of Police (IGPs), and top administrative officials. Chief Secretary Anu Garg, along with representatives from the Home Department and senior police personnel, also participated.

Prior to the meeting, enhanced security measures were implemented at the Police Bhavan, where the Chief Minister received a Guard of Honour upon his arrival.

The discussions addressed the current law and order conditions, measures for crime prevention, the status of sensitive areas, and the effectiveness of police administration. The Chief Minister stressed the necessity of ensuring peace and security, advocating for stringent action against offenders, and providing high-quality policing services to the public.

Majhi reaffirmed that maintaining law and order is essential for the development of Odisha, urging police officials to stay alert and take a proactive approach.
