The Odisha Government has officially approved the resignation of Jagmohan Meena, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Bhubaneswar, and has forwarded it to the Union Home Ministry for subsequent action.

Meena, who belongs to the 2013 IPS batch, resigned for personal reasons. Following a thorough review, the state government confirmed the acceptance of his resignation, ending his service in the Odisha cadre.

According to officials, the resignation was processed following established service regulations and communicated to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Throughout his career, Meena has held several important positions in Odisha, including roles as Superintendent of Police in Angul, Ganjam, and Malkangiri, as well as DCP in Cuttack before assuming his role in Bhubaneswar.

His resignation comes at a critical time for the state police, which is experiencing significant restructuring and changes in leadership.
