Bhubaneswar: The Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, is set to raise the National Flag and review the state-level Independence Day events in Bhubaneswar on August 15.

The state government’s plan includes Deputy Chief Ministers K V Singh Deo and Pravati Parida hoisting the tricolour in Kalahandi and Sundargarh, respectively, during the celebrations.

Other ministers have been appointed to oversee the festivities in various districts: Suresh Pujari will represent in Kataka, Rabi Narayan Naik in Anugola, Nityananda Gond in Malkangiri, Krushna Chandra Patra in Sambalpur, Prithiviraj Harichandan in Ganjam, Mukesh Mahaling in Rayagada, Bibhuti Bhusan Jena in Kandhamala, and Krushna Chandra Mahapatra in Khordha.

Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia will participate in the event in Puri, while Suryabanshi Suraj, Pradeep Bal Samanta, Gokulananda Mallik, and Sampad Chandra Swain are assigned to Balangir, Baleshwar, Gajapati, and Koraput, respectively.

In other districts, senior administrative officials will lead the celebrations. The RDC (Central Division) will be present in Jagatsinghpur, and the RDC (Southern Division) will attend in Brahmapur.

Collectors have been designated to oversee the events in Baragada, Bhadrak, Boudh, Debagada, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kendrapada, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nayagada, Nuapada, and Subarnapur.

The Additional District Magistrate (ADM) in Raurkela will also be present for the Independence Day programme there.
