A significant fire erupted at a jewellery store and a shopping mall in Jharsuguda, Odisha, on Wednesday, causing substantial damage estimated in lakhs of rupees.
Upon receiving alerts, two firefighting units were dispatched to the scene, where efforts were underway to extinguish the flames.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined, and fortunately, there have been no reported casualties or injuries thus far.
This incident marks the second fire occurrence in Jharsuguda district in recent days.
Earlier on Monday morning, a fire broke out in an ATM belonging to the State Bank of India (SBI) near Belpahar Phatak in Jharsuguda.
Reports indicate that smoke began emanating from the ATM’s battery. Firefighters promptly responded and managed to control the situation in a timely manner.
