OTET 2026 Postponed to July 5 Following Candidate Protests Over Exam Schedule Clash

The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) has been postponed to July 5, 2026, following protests from candidates regarding the overlap with another examination, an official announced on Tuesday. The OTET was initially slated for June 28, coinciding with the Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) exam, which is also scheduled for that day and is intended for recruitment for various positions.

In consideration of the candidates’ concerns, BSE Odisha has moved the OTET exam to July 5. According to the revised schedule, the OTET will be conducted in two shifts: the morning session from 9 AM to 11:30 AM for Paper I, and the afternoon session from 2 PM to 4:30 PM for Paper II. The OSSSC exam was originally planned for June 20 but has been rescheduled to June 28 for administrative reasons.
