A head constable, assigned as a gunman for a senior police officer in the city, has reportedly been missing since 4 PM on Saturday. He was last seen signing off from work and did not return home. Police indicated that he left his two-wheeler, house keys, and lunch box at the office.
His wife filed a missing person complaint with the Lake police, who are currently reviewing CCTV footage showing the head constable near Hussainsagar. He was also spotted near the HYDRAA office along the lake shore.
It is believed he was experiencing significant emotional distress after his senior officer allegedly reprimanded him in front of colleagues. Sources revealed that the head constable faced pressure to disclose the phone number and details of a woman victim who had filed a complaint with a women’s safety team. After he refused, the other official reportedly used abusive language, prompting Suresh to file a written complaint with an ACP rank officer. However, no action was taken, which may have contributed to the head constable’s distress, sources added.
