Rourkela: President Droupadi Murmu will embark on her first day-long visit to the steel city of Rourkela in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Tuesday, where she is scheduled to inaugurate a planetarium and a tribal museum, according to an official statement.
Additionally, she will unveil the Nirmal Munda Parivesh Path, named after a tribal leader, during a public event. The President is expected to arrive at Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Airport in Jharsuguda at approximately 10:25 AM and will travel to Rourkela by helicopter.
Security measures have been reinforced in both Rourkela and Jharsuguda, with heightened vigilance at Sector 13, the location of her public meeting, and along the convoy routes. Senior police officials have assessed the security protocols.
Furthermore, the Jharsuguda administration has established a ‘no-fly zone’ and ‘no-drone zone’ across the district for the duration of the President’s visit. Union Tribal Affairs Minister and Sundargarh MP Jual Oram remarked that the President’s inaugural visit to the steel city will significantly enhance the region’s development.
