Bhubaneswar – Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan is planned to visit Odisha on July 9, where he will participate in various events, including the convocation of a central research institute, according to officials. Chief Secretary Anu Garg conducted a review of the preparations for the Vice-President’s visit on Saturday.
During his time in Odisha, Radhakrishnan will be the chief guest at the 15th convocation ceremony for the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) and will also attend the national launch of the ‘Letter of Authorisation’ program, which allows Indian flagged vessels to fish in the high seas.
Officials reported that Garg instructed all relevant departments to work closely together to facilitate a smooth visit. She emphasized the need for robust security measures, continuous power and water supply, fire safety protocols, sanitation, road upkeep, medical services, ambulance availability, and efficient protocol arrangements during the Vice-President’s stay.
