Vedanta Aluminium signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Friday with Singhal Steel and Power Private Limited, part of the Singhal Group of Industries, and SCOT-AL Metcon Private Limited, associated with Scottish Chemical Industries and UAL Industries. This agreement aims to set up downstream aluminium manufacturing facilities within the upcoming Vedanta aluminium park located in Jharsuguda.
The MoU signing ceremony took place in Bhubaneswar, attended by the Minister of State for Industries, Skill Development, and Technical Education, Sampad Chandra Swain, along with Hemant Sharma, the additional chief secretary in the Industries department, and other senior officials.
The minister highlighted that this initiative strengthens Odisha’s status as a premier industrial hub in the country. He noted that the Vedanta aluminium park will boost investments, generate significant employment opportunities, and enhance the state’s manufacturing capabilities across various sectors.
