Malkangiri: A festive event took a devastating turn on Friday morning when a vehicle transporting a DJ setup overturned near Mathili in Odisha’s Malkangiri district, resulting in one fatality and injuring more than ten individuals.

The incident happened around 7 am in the Anlajodi area, close to Mathili.

As reported, the vehicle was on its way back from a Dussehra idol immersion ceremony, traveling from Dharmagarh to Malkangiri. Initial reports suggest that a sudden burst of the front tyre led the driver to lose control, causing the vehicle to tip over off the roadside.
