Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning indicating that rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds is expected to impact nine districts in Odisha within the next three hours.

Both Bhubaneswar, the state capital, and Kataka city are anticipated to experience these severe weather conditions.

In a notice released at 10:20 AM, the IMD forecasted light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms and gusty winds that may reach speeds of 30 to 40 km/h in the districts of Kendujhar, Sundaragada, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Debagada, Kataka (including Kataka City), Khordha (including Bhubaneswar City), Bhadrak, and Jajpur within the specified time frame. A yellow warning has been issued for these areas during this period.

Residents in the affected districts are urged to monitor the weather closely and make necessary plans to ensure their safety.
