Binika (Subarnapur): On Wednesday, the principal of Siddhartha Degree College in Binika, located in Odisha’s Subarnapur district, was threatened with death when a message was discovered on a piece of white cloth near the college entrance.

This alarming incident coincided with the intense campaigning for the upcoming student union elections set for Thursday. Candidates have been actively seeking the support of their peers in anticipation of the polls.

The threatening note accused the principal of favoring a specific faction in the student elections and cautioned him against involvement in the electoral process.

“Principal, you are supporting a particular group in the student union elections. Stay away from the elections, or you will be killed,”

the note stated.

In response to the complaint, law enforcement officials arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. They are currently working to determine the individuals behind the threatening message placed at the college gate.

This event has heightened tensions on campus as the student union elections approach.
