Bhubaneswar: In a significant accomplishment, Prasuci Panda, a resident of Berhampur in Odisha, has been crowned Miss Teen Universe India 2026.
She received a warm welcome during her inaugural visit to Bhubaneswar on Sunday following her prestigious win. A celebratory event took place at a hotel in the capital, gathering numerous dignitaries who congratulated Prasuci, a second-grade student.
“Returning to Bhubaneswar for the first time after winning the Miss Teen Universe India 2026 title is an incredibly emotional moment for me. Representing India on an international stage is both an honour and a great responsibility. This is only the beginning of my journey, and I know I have to work even harder to make my parents, my state of Odisha, and my country proud,” she stated to the media.
This title has granted Prasuci the chance to represent India at the international pageant next year. She impressed the judges with her confidence, grace, and stage presence, securing this prestigious title in her first attempt at a national beauty contest.
Her success has positioned her as one of India’s rising youth ambassadors in the international pageant arena. The Miss Teen Universe India pageant is among the foremost beauty contests for teenagers in the country, providing winners with professional training and mentorship prior to competing globally.
Prasuci shared that she began her training in April, focusing on refining her runway walk, communication abilities, and overall performance on stage.
“I will be representing India on the international stage next year. Overall, this pageant was a very wonderful journey for me. It was a really great journey for me. I felt really good about this pageant. I started preparing for it in the month of April, which involved a lot of preparation, like working on my pageant walk,” she remarked.
Her victory is particularly noteworthy as it was achieved during her very first national pageant, highlighting how dedicated preparation and consistent development can lead to success.
The competition was intense, featuring talented participants from all over India, making the contest for the title highly competitive. Prasuci triumphed over 37 contestants from various regions to claim the crown for Miss Teen Universe India 2026. National beauty pageants assess contestants based on multiple criteria, including confidence, personality, communication skills, stage presence, and overall presentation, rendering each segment of the contest both challenging and rigorous.
With the national title secured, Prasuci is now focusing on the international competition, where she will proudly represent India.
