Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], August 31 (ANI): On Monday, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conveyed his condolences following the death of Shefeen Ahamed K, the Inspector General of Police for the CID, Crime Branch.

In a message shared on X, the Chief Minister remarked, “Deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Shefeen Ahamed K, IPS, I.G. of Police, CID, CB. His dedicated service to the State and Odisha Police will always be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and loved ones. May his soul rest in peace.”

Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo also expressed his sorrow over Ahamed’s passing. He posted on X, recalling the senior officer’s commitment and notable service to both the state and the Odisha Police.

“Deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Shefeen Ahamed K, IPS, I.G. of Police, CID, CB. His unwavering dedication and distinguished service to the State and Odisha Police will forever be remembered,” stated Singh Deo.

He further extended his sympathies to Ahamed’s family, colleagues, and loved ones, adding, “My heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and loved ones. May his noble soul rest in eternal peace.”

The Odisha Police also honored the late IPS officer, recognizing him for his dedication, integrity, and professionalism. In their tribute on X, they highlighted that Ahamed, a distinguished member of the 2003 batch, “served with dedication, integrity, and professionalism.”

“His valuable contributions to policing, particularly in cybercrime investigation, will always be remembered with respect,” the Odisha Police stated. The department expressed its solidarity with Ahamed’s grieving family and loved ones, praying for his soul to find eternal peace.
