Puri (Odisha) [India], October 21 (ANI): Bollywood actor Govinda made a visit to the esteemed Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha, on Wednesday, where he participated in prayers and rituals, seeking divine favors.

His presence attracted a significant number of fans who gathered around the temple grounds hoping to catch a glimpse of the actor. Govinda enthusiastically waved to the crowd, who cheered and called his name as he proceeded into the temple.

In an interview with news agency ANI, Govinda expressed his appreciation for being able to pray at this sacred location.

“The Lord has bestowed this grace upon me. I pray here on the occasion of Vijayadashami. To all the artists here, may God’s grace always be with you. I pray that the same grace we’ve received is given to my kids,” he stated.

The actor’s sincere comments highlighted his thankfulness for the spiritual blessings and his hopes for the welfare of his children.

Govinda’s visit to the historic Shree Jagannath Temple, one of the most respected Hindu pilgrimage destinations in India, elicited an enthusiastic response from both devotees and fans.

The Shree Jagannath Temple, a prominent 12th-century Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a manifestation of Lord Vishnu, was constructed by King Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty. It is considered one of the sacred Char Dham pilgrimage sites in India.

The temple is also famous for its annual Ratha Yatra, or Chariot Festival, and its unique deities.

On the professional front, Govinda is set to appear in his upcoming film ‘Roopa’ alongside Komal Rani Swarnkar. This project marks his return to the screen after several years; his last film was ‘Rangeela Raja’ in 2019, followed by a role in the 2022 documentary ‘Naam Tha Kanhaiyalal.’
