The scheduled official visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Odisha has been cancelled, as confirmed by Bargarh Member of Parliament (MP) Pradeep Purohit.
According to Purohit, Amit Shah will not be visiting Odisha on July 3, 2026. The cancellation of the visit was announced on Thursday.
Initially, the Union Home Minister was expected to spend two days in the state, focusing on various development projects. His itinerary included multiple events in Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Cuttack, and Bhubaneswar.
During his planned visit, the Home Minister was set to inaugurate several state-level development initiatives, including a significant ethanol project in Bargarh.
As of now, the reason for the cancellation has not been revealed, and there is no information regarding any future visit to Odisha.
