Hyderabad: On Friday, October 30, a raid took place at a women’s hostel in the Malkajgiri police jurisdiction, targeting an alleged egg collection operation.

The Malkajgiri Police Special Operations Team conducted the operation at the Ami Neeta Girls Hostel located in Prakash Nagar during the afternoon. Reports indicate that ten women from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Odisha were taken into custody.

According to Saidulu, speaking to Siasat.com, “We confiscated syringes and some contraceptive pills from the hostel. These items have been sent to Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad for testing. The medical report will help determine if the women were ovulating and if a racket was being conducted from the hostel.”

Saidulu further noted that a case of cheating was filed under Section 318(4) and a charge of wrongful confinement was registered under Section 127 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation is currently ongoing.
