Dhenkanal: Early on Tuesday morning, a collision involving an unidentified vehicle and a motorcycle near Muktapasi village on National Highway 53 led to the deaths of two individuals and left another seriously injured, according to local police.

The victims have been identified as Anil Naik and Ajit Naik, both of whom resided in Shantinagar Sahi, located in Patharakhumba village within the jurisdiction of the Kamakhyanagar police station. The injured party, Sumanta Naik, is also from the same area.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred as the trio was returning home after participating in Lakshmi Puja. Their motorcycle was struck by the unidentified vehicle near Muktapasi village on NH-53, resulting in injuries to all three individuals.

Upon receiving notification of the incident, police promptly arrived at the scene, where they discovered two deceased individuals and one critically injured. The injured individual was quickly transported to a hospital for medical care. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the accident and are working to identify the vehicle responsible.
