Jharsuguda: On Friday, Suresh Pujari, the Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management in Odisha, inaugurated an Atal Bus Stand in Belpahar and laid the groundwork for another one in Lakhanpur. During his visit to Jharsuguda district, he also distributed land ownership documents to local residents and educational institutions.

The Minister opened a 30-bed Community Health Centre (CHC) in Rajpur and launched bus services from the newly established Belpahar bus stand to enhance public transport in the region.

Prior to these events, Pujari was the chief guest at the block-level children’s festival ‘Surabhi’ held at Remanda High School in Lakhanpur block. He remarked that the festival offered children an opportunity to display their talents, foster creativity, and engage in co-curricular activities.

At Lakhanpur, while laying the foundation for the second Atal Bus Stand, Pujari emphasized that the project would facilitate better passenger transport and improve commuting options for the public.

During his visit, the Minister distributed Land Records of Rights (RoRs) to 23 beneficiaries in the Katarabaga mouza, granting them formal recognition of their land ownership. Additionally, RoRs for 21 schools under the School and Mass Education Department were given to the respective headmasters to clarify ownership and optimize the management of land records for educational institutions.

Several local officials and representatives attended the events, including the Steel and Mines Minister, Bargarh MP, Jharsuguda MLA, district Collector, Chief Development Officer, Sub-Collector, Lakhanpur Sarpanch, and the Chairman of the Jharsuguda District Special Development Council.

The state government reiterated its dedication to enhancing infrastructure, advancing transport and healthcare services, and ensuring transparency in land records as part of its ongoing public welfare and development efforts.
