- October 2, 2026: All banks will close in observance of Gandhi Jayanti, which falls on a Friday.
- October 10, 2026: Banks will close in Karnataka and Kolkata for Mahalaya Amavasya on Saturday.
- October 17, 2026: Maha Saptami will see banks in Tripura closed on Saturday.
- October 19, 2026: Several states including Tripura, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Manipur, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Meghalaya will have bank closures for Dussehra, Durga Puja, and Vijaya Dashami festivities on Monday.
- October 20, 2026: Dussehra celebrations will lead to bank closures nationwide, except in Manipur and Sikkim.
- October 21, 2026: Vijaya Dashami and Durga Puja will cause closures in Tripura, Karnataka, Sikkim, Assam, Kerala, and West Bengal.

Despite bank branches being closed, customers can still access online banking services without interruption. UPI, Netbanking, mobile banking, and ATMs will facilitate regular transactions such as money transfers and bill payments. However, activities that require physical presence at a bank, such as certain cheque transactions, locker access, and documentation tasks, will not be available on holidays.
