In a remarkable incident, an 8-foot-long python weighing 15 kg was rescued from a home in Nuapada district, Odisha, late last night. The event took place in Goudapada village, located within the Komana block.

The discovery of the python caused considerable alarm for the household where it was found, belonging to Tula Chandra Sahu. Family members reported seeing the massive snake slithering through their home and promptly notified the Komana Forest Department.

Upon receiving the call, a specialized team of forest officials swiftly arrived at the scene to safely capture the python. After evaluation, they confirmed its length of 8 feet and weight of approximately 15 kg.

Following its rescue, the python was transported to a secluded area in the Tandel Reserve Forest, where it was released back into its natural environment.
