A tragic accident occurred in Kalahandi district, Odisha, where two people lost their lives after a BMW car collided with a Hyva near the Bhawanipatna bypass on Saturday.

Reports indicate that the speeding luxury vehicle crashed into the Hyva, which was parked at the roadside. The force of the collision was so intense that the front section of the car was completely crushed.

Both the driver and the front-seat passenger reportedly died instantly due to the severe impact.

The vehicle is believed to have originated from Haryana. The deceased have been identified as Pinatu Bag from the Titlagarh area of Bolangir district and Goutam Nayak from the Dharmagada area.

Witnesses at the scene alerted the police and contacted the fire service department.

Firefighters were able to recover the bodies from the mangled car after cutting through the wreckage. Upon receiving the report, the Bhawanipatna police arrived at the location and seized both vehicles involved in the incident.
