Inspector General of Police, Central Range, Dr. Satyajit Naik, reviewed security and crowd management arrangements for Snana Purnima 2026 at Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri today. He visited the shrine with Superintendent of Police Prateek Singh and senior officials, seeking the blessings of Lord Mahaprabhu before beginning the inspection.

With Snana Purnima scheduled for June 29, the review emphasized a devotee-centric security plan. The blueprint streamlines entry and exit points through temple gates to maintain order during the Pahandi procession and bathing rituals on the Snana Bedi. Police teams will manage traffic corridors along Bada Danda Grand Road, prevent bottlenecks, and ensure emergency vehicle access. Continuous CCTV surveillance will monitor crowd density around the temple complex and key intersections.

Dr. Naik highlighted that the Odisha Police aims to deliver a safe and spiritually fulfilling experience for lakhs of devotees. He stressed close coordination with temple administration to uphold discipline and public safety. He urged devotees to cooperate with on-duty personnel for the smooth execution of rituals.
