Bhubaneswar, May 25: Pranati Nayak, an athlete from the Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre (HPC), achieved a silver medal in the Vault event at the FIG World Challenge Cup 2026, which took place from May 21 to 24, 2026, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, featuring participants from 16 nations worldwide.

Pranati showcased an impressive performance throughout the competition. In the qualification round, she secured second place with a score of 12.875, just behind the top qualification score of 13.325. Building on her strong start, she improved her score in the finals, achieving 13.025 in the Vault event and earning a spot on the podium in a highly competitive international field, further enhancing India’s standing in global gymnastics.

Her success highlights the dedication, discipline, and world-class training provided at the Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre, which continues to foster elite sporting talent.

Reflecting on her victory, Pranati stated, “The last few months have tested me with setbacks and tough days, but I never lost faith in myself. Standing on the podium with this medal proves that patience, perseverance, and belief truly make a difference. I am deeply grateful to my coaches for constantly encouraging me and to Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre for giving me the platform to excel in international competitions.
