On Wednesday, Rural Development Commissioner Yamini Sarangi conducted a review of several ongoing infrastructure projects in the remote areas of Malkangiri district, focusing on road and building works. Sarangi inspected the construction of rural roads leading to Paruguda and Kathiguda, and also evaluated the JMFC court complex in Mathili along with various development initiatives in Khairput.
She instructed the relevant officials to ensure the completion of all projects within the designated timeframe while maintaining high-quality standards. “Rural infrastructure development remains a top priority. All pending issues related to government projects would be resolved promptly,” Sarangi stated, who also holds the position of CT & GST commissioner of Odisha.
Following the field inspection, a review meeting took place at the Zilla Parishad conference hall, where Sarangi emphasized the importance of financial transparency and directed all government departments and agencies to timely deposit TDS with the GST office. Present at the meeting were Malkangiri collector Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke, Zilla Parishad chief development officer Dasharathi Sarabu, and senior officials from various departments.
