Bhubaneswar’s Bhavesh Patra has been recognized as the state topper in the JEE (Mains) 2026 session-II, with results announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday.

A student at Cohen International School, Bhavesh achieved a 100 percentile, earning the top state rank and an all-India rank of 13. In the first session of JEE (Mains), Bhavesh also scored a perfect 100, securing an all-India rank of 6 in this competitive exam.

Expressing gratitude towards his parents and teachers for their support, Bhavesh shared with The New Indian Express that he is thrilled with his results and is now concentrating on preparing for the JEE Advanced. “I gave equal importance to all three subjects – mathematics, physics, and chemistry, in preparing for the exam. I also took a break from social media for one year to remain focused in my preparations,” Bhavesh stated. He advised other aspirants to prioritize strict time management to achieve favorable results.

Aryasmman Pradhan, another student from Cohen International School, achieved state rank-3 with a score of 99.97 percentile, according to school officials.
