Bhubaneswar: On Sunday, N Thirumala Naik, the Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the School and Mass Education (S&ME) department, inspected various examination sites in Cuttack to assess the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET), organized by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE).

The OTET was conducted in all 30 districts, divided into two sessions: the first from 9 am to 11:30 am and the second from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.

At the BSE Secondary Board High School examination center, Naik engaged with candidates, including those with disabilities and their scribes, to evaluate the support and facilities available to them.

He also visited the Command and Control Centre at the BSE headquarters, where he monitored real-time surveillance of examination centers statewide through CCTV systems.

During his visit, he observed district education officers and senior board officials conducting inspections at various locations using live monitoring capabilities.

Accompanied by BSE President Srikanta Tarai, Naik reviewed the comprehensive examination management, focusing on the Digi Lock systems implemented at all 311 centers.

He interacted with the technical team to assess the technological setups and monitoring strategies established to ensure the examination was conducted smoothly and securely.

Expressing his contentment with the flawless and incident-free administration of the OTET, Naik praised the detailed planning and collaborative efforts of the board and all officials involved in the examination process.

While at the BSE headquarters, he also consulted with Cuttack District Education Officer Nityananda Barik and Additional District Education Officer Manoranjan Barik about the overall oversight and management of the examination.
