The 2nd All India Vedanta Open National Karate Championship was conducted on April 4 and 5 at the Jharsuguda Sports Complex Auditorium. This event, organized by the Vedanta Martial Arts Training Centre in partnership with the National Karate Foundation, attracted more than 300 athletes from states including Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra. The competitors displayed remarkable training, discipline, and skill, with each match filled with enthusiasm, confidence, and a strong desire to win.
Om Prakash Choudhary, Chief Secretary of Vedanta, attended as the chief guest and praised the athletes for their dedication and hard work. He highlighted the importance of physical, mental, and moral development for the youth. Harmeet Sehra, CSR Head at Vedanta Aluminium Sector, also attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest and presented awards to the winners.
