Bhubaneswar: A man from Gajapati district in Odisha has reported that a mistake in his Aadhaar records, indicating he was deceased, resulted in the deactivation of his Aadhaar card, which in turn denied him benefits from the public distribution system (PDS).

This situation was highlighted by Jikhariya Pal, a resident of Ranalai village within the Mahendragada Gram Panchayat in R. Udayagiri block. He stated that he was unable to obtain his monthly ration of rice after his biometric verification failed at the local distribution center.
