Rout Pollution Control Appreciation Award 2026 in the Industrial Township category by the Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB). This award recognizes Vedanta Meadows, a contemporary residential community designed for employees in Jharsuguda.
The accolade highlights the company’s commitment to embedding responsible environmental practices into all facets of its operations, encompassing both industrial activities and employee living conditions.

Further extending this commitment, Vedanta Aluminium has teamed up with the Regional Office of the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB), Jharsuguda, and the District Administration to launch an Environmental Awareness Campaign 2026 at the PKSS Higher Secondary School in H. Katapali. This campaign included tree planting drives, cleanliness initiatives, awareness workshops, street performances, and community engagement activities aimed at instilling sustainable practices among students and local residents.
The company is also enhancing biodiversity conservation and increasing green cover through initiatives like the Matrivan tree plantation project, while employing advanced technology solutions to boost resource efficiency and lower the carbon footprint of its operations.
