Renowned international educationist Principal Harbhajan Singh Karnana has received the prestigious Bharat Vibhushan Samman 2026 at a grand ceremony held in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. The award was presented by Kultar Singh Sandhwan.
Rajinder Singh Virasat, Chairman of the Virasat Sikhism Trust, congratulated him on this achievement, stating that this recognition from the Punjab Government for his selfless service has brought immense pride to the Trust and elevated its status in society.
During the award ceremony, his son, Advocate Gurmehak Singh, expressed that this honor reflects his father’s exceptional contributions and leadership in the education sector.
Tajinder Singh Madan, an interim member of the Trust, noted that Principal Harbhajan Singh not only excels in his professional responsibilities but also dedicates significant time to social service.
Congratulations were also extended by interim Trust members including Dr. Kamaljeet Kaur (Punjab), Harpreet Singh and Majinder Kaur (Delhi), and Avtar Singh Bhurji (Odisha).
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including MLAs Kulwant Singh Pandori, Inderjit Kaur Mann, Inderbir Singh Nijjar, and Brahm Shankar Jimpa. Guests of Honour included Sardar Surinder Singh Moti, Shri Ram Lok Khatana, Shri Sahil Luthra, and Dr. Abhishek Gilara.
