In Bhubaneswar, 18 entrepreneurs received recognition at the sixth edition of the Business Eminence Awards organized by Dharitri and OrissaPOST on Thursday.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi praised the entrepreneurs, stating that this recognition is not just a celebration of success but a tribute to their courage, struggle, confidence, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Majhi highlighted Odisha’s growth potential, noting the state’s abundance of natural resources, extensive coastline, strategic location, skilled youth, stable governance, and resilient populace. He expressed ambition for Odisha to evolve into a $500 billion economy by 2036 and a $1.5 trillion economy by 2047, positioning it as a growth engine for a developed India.
Industries, Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Sampad Chandra Swain remarked on Odisha’s steady progress in economic, business, and industrial development.
Dharitri and OrissaPOST editor Tathagata Satpathy mentioned that a new mindset is emerging in Odisha, with young men, women, and entrepreneurs advancing with confidence, encouraging pride in the state’s progress.
Adyasha Satpathy, CEO of Dharitri and OrissaPOST, noted that the awards were initiated during the Covid pandemic to uplift entrepreneurs facing challenges and to enhance their morale.
