Paytm Foundation, in collaboration with Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), has inaugurated its second ‘Wisdom on Wheels’ mobile learning bus in Sambalpur, Odisha. The launch was officiated by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and seeks to deliver computer education directly to underserved students at their homes.
Paytm (One 97 Communications Limited), recognized as India’s leading merchant payments provider for MSMEs and enterprises, as well as a prominent financial services distributor, announced the initiative through its CSR arm, Paytm Foundation.
The inauguration took place at VSSUT in Sambalpur, Odisha, with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in attendance.
The ‘Wisdom on Wheels’ initiative is designed to enhance accessibility to computer education for underserved students, facilitating digital learning. This fully equipped mobile bus offers a certified Basic Computer Course, enabling students to acquire essential technology skills and prepare for future opportunities. The program aligns with the Government of India’s mission to boost digital literacy and empower youth nationwide.
The bus will visit schools, villages, and community centers in Sambalpur, ensuring that quality education reaches areas with limited digital infrastructure. By bringing education directly to students, Paytm Foundation aims to create a significant and scalable impact.
Equipped for an engaging learning experience, the bus features computers, a printer, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a Smart TV or interactive panel for digital instruction. It is fully air-conditioned, self-powered, and includes backup facilities to guarantee uninterrupted training even in remote locations, all while providing a secure and comfortable environment.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan remarked, “Reaching students with the right tools and knowledge can transform their future. Initiatives like ‘Wisdom on Wheels’ are commendable as they bring learning directly to students who lack access to such opportunities. This effort will help equip our youth with the skills needed to thrive in today’s evolving economy.”
